How can we be of Service?
Frequently Asked Questions
I have never had my photos taken, what can I expect on the day of my photoshoot?
As a Professional Wedding & Engagement Photographer, we have all the expertise to help you make the most of your session. We will be guiding you through the entire process and will be brainstorming together on what we are going to do for your shoot, so you will know what to prepare and when. Guidance will be given to you during the shoot on how to pose and on what to do so you do not have to worry at all, and simply enjoy the experience. Although we are there to take pictures, people are our passion so we aim to capture moments.
We are really nervous?
It is completely natural to be nervous in front of the camera, and even more so if this is the first time you are having photos professionally taken. I am very easy going and free spirited, and my main aim is for you to simply just enjoy the session. I will guide you on how to stand etc. but I aim for more spontaneous & real moments. I genuinely live for real moments and spend a lot of time for us to get to know each other, but also to just have some fun with it. I am open to all of your ideas 🙂
Is it really necessary to have an Engagement Shoot?
The Engagement shoot is included in all of my packages as I am a firm believer in having and Engagement session prior to your wedding day. This will give us some to get to know each other and for me to learn how you interact with each other. During this session I will be taking you through important pointers and prepare you as best I can for your Big Day. The idea is for the two of you to just have some fun!
Where will the Engagement photos be taken and what are my options?
When we discuss ideas for your shoot, we will also be discussing where the shoot will take place and what kind of look and feel you would like. We offer both studio and on location photography, so you will have both options open to you. Don’t worry if you don’t have any venues that you can think if, we will be able to offer a couple of suggestions : )
Our Wedding is not in Gauteng, do you travel?
I am based in Pretoria, but I absolutely love to travel! My packages include a 100km round trip from Garsfontein, Pretoria thereafter an additional charge of R100/50km is applicable. Flights, accommodation and car hire will be required for destination weddings. Any wedding further than 200km accommodation will need to be provided for.
What will you be covering on our Wedding day?
As your dedicated Wedding & Engagement Photographer, we will start off with your Engagement shoot, followed by your wedding day. On your special day, I will be capturing the entire day, complete with all the details and special moments. I am absolutely crazy about the little details and a true storyteller at heart. Coverage will include getting ready, decor, reception, details, venue, ceremony, couple shoot, reception & formalities and finally I like to end off with a quick night exposure or 3.
How long with you be with us on the day?
Dependant on the schedule, venue and travel time required, I normally like to arrive at your venue nice and early and will be spending the entire day with you. I would love for you to enjoy your day and not have to be rushed due to my timelines. Dependant on the package you have selected, I should leave your venue around 20:00. Additional hours may be booked at a discounted rate prior to the wedding should you need me there a little longer.
What time should the Ceremony start?
First you need to know how long the whole ceremony will be from start to finish. (including signing of the register). Your ceremony must end with your confetti time, at least 2 hours prior to sunset. Please note that sunsets are earlier during the Winter months, Check your sunset time according to location & date here: www.timeanddate.com
Do you take Family / Group Shots?
Yes, I do : ) I do however try and limit these to 14 groups/photos due to limited time, but I’m happy to negotiate a couple more as long as time is factored in. You will need to provide me with a detailed list of the different groups at least two week prior to the wedding. Please allow enough time when planning your day. Large group photos of all the guests can take up to 10 minutes just to get everyone together.
What happens if it rains?
Well, we all might get a bit wet! Truth is that it rains often during summer and that rain happens. I always plan for it and will discuss a “plan B” with you before the big day. I also carry a couple of very pretty umbrellas, and my cameras can endure a bit of rain – ultimately it won’t stop you having stunning pictures.
I have submitted an online booking request, will this mean that may date and time slot is secured?
Once we have received your request and discussed your shoot with you, you will receive a formal quote for the shoot, with all of the shoot details where a booking fee is payable to secure your slot. Once we have received your confirmation of payment and confirmed via email that your shoot has been successfully booked, your slot will be secured.
We would like to meet you, what do we do next?

Alternatively, you can visit our Facebook Page an chat to us online. I will be answering all of your questions in this sessions and offer advice if you need help with anything.
